Look at the work. Keep the context.

Owned work is identified separately from paying client references. Use the contribution, decision and evidence behind an example to judge its relevance.

What a useful example should explain

A good annotation identifies a real user task, the contribution that can be verified, the decision made and what was checked. A screenshot on its own does not establish the role, outcome or relevance to every service.

  • The project’s actual ownership and intended audience
  • The specific role and artifact supported by evidence
  • One decision that explains how a customer task was handled
  • Any measurement period, limitations and permission for the material

Match the proof to the job

A project artifact can provide context for the specific website or content decision it demonstrates. It should not be treated as proof of advertising results, sector specialization or a successful customer automation without separate evidence.

Ask how the example relates to your task

Look for the starting constraint, the chosen approach, the author’s contribution and a check of the result. If the example does not demonstrate the function you need, ask for different evidence rather than assuming it proves that capability.
